Project challenges
The greenfield project meant that infrastructure, operational processes and teams responsible for the supply chain and maintenance had to be created simultaneously. Considering the intense pace of investment, it wasn’t possible to meet all competency needs internally. Lenze needed proved experts who could quickly get into specific operational roles, take responsibility for selected areas and contribute their experience from similar projects they previously implemented in other organisations.
Greenfield project complexity
the necessity of bringing together many different work streams, from planning material flows to organising maintenance and cooperating with other plants in the group.
Need for a quick competency improvement
recruiting people who have already led similar projects and understand the practical challenges of launching a new production plant.
Connecting global and local requirements
aligning operational solutions with the standards of an international organisation and the realities of the plant’s operations in Poland.
Targets set
Strengthening the greenfield project with operation-related competencies
involving practitioners who have experience in building production and logistics organisations from scratch.
Designing and launching key processes
creating efficient solutions in the areas of supply chain, planning, internal logistics and maintenance.
Ensuring the smooth launch of the plant
supporting everyday operational decisions so that the transition from project to stable operation goes step by step.
Leaving permanent value in the organisation
transferring know-how to the Lenze team so that, after the interim cooperation ends, the company can develop the plant independently.
Solutions implemented
Structuring of project activities
clarification of the scope of tasks, priorities and the method of reporting progress in the operational areas of the greenfield project.
Organising maintenance activities
developing work standards for the maintenance department, as well as inspection schedules and rules for responding to technical incidents.
Greenfield project management support
designing and organising planning, procurement, warehouse logistics and internal cooperation processes.
Operational work with the client’s team
daily cooperation with the project team in planning and implementing tasks so that the solutions developed were adapted to the realities of the organisation and could be maintained after the project was completed.
